| Environment Glossop Cartons appreciates the importance of the environment, and is actively involved in manufacturing products that are recyclable. The company uses Carton Board in the production process which is made using trees taken from sustainable forests, which are framed in a manner that is friendly to the environment. The company is also working towards achieving the environmental management standard ISO14001 and aims to be assessed to this standard in June 2005. As part of this standard, one of the company’s main aims was to greatly reduce the amount of landfill waste created. This has been achieved by implementing various recycling schemes throughout the factory and offices. In addition to this, further objectives have been set and will be achieved during 2004 and 2005. |
