  • 100mb Zip Disk (Mac or PC format).
  • CD ROM (Mac or PC format).

It is also possible to e-mail (design@glossopcartons.co.uk) or ISDN (01457 852877) files direct to us

Programs currently in use "in-house" are :- PhotoShop, Illustrator, Freehand, PageMaker and Quark Express. Our preferred programs and version numbers that we can accept are shown below

Illustrator CS or below
Freehand MX or below
PhotoShop
Quark Express

Artworks supplied in Illustrator or Freehand will give us the ability to digitally handle traps, chokes, etc. and also will allow us to digitally step and repeat the image prior to image setting. Digital artwork can be accepted in the other formats but this will increase costs as we may require the use of 3rd party resources. Illustrator or freehand files are our preferred formats as we can handle these easier prior to outputting films.
Bitmap illustrations need to be at a resolution of at least 2500 dpi. Black text, etc. to be set to overprint. Bleed must be 3mm on all sides except the glue flap that must be print free with 2.5mm bleed onto it from the adjoining panel. For all illustrations, scans and tints please make an allowance of 12%.for dot gain during the printing process.
